Army Veteran Henry Washington Celebrates 100th Birthday

Friends and family gathered at Magnolia United Methodist Church on Saturday to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Central's Henry Leonard Washington. Mr. Washington was born on November 8, 1911 and turned 100 on Tuesday. Among those honoring Mr. Washington were members of his American Legion Post 416. On behalf of Mayor Watts, Mrs. Carlotte Fergerson presented Mr. Washington with a Key to the City of Central. Mr. Washington served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.
