For the fourth quarter of 2011, patients rated patient satisfaction at Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) with an overall mean score of 93.0, placing us among the top 1% of all health care facilities in our region according to Press Ganey and Associates.  This is the second year in a row that CIS has ended the year at the 99th percentile!

These rankings mean that patients are highly satisfied with the level of care that they have received at CIS.  In comparison, CIS scored higher than 99% of other facilities in the Press Ganey database for our region, which includes the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.  Patients also ranked CIS in the 96th percentile among all facilities in the nation for the fourth quarter of 2011!

“CIS is extremely proud of what our team has accomplished, and we will continue to set high goals for patient satisfaction in fulfillment of our mission to provide our patients with the highest quality cardiovascular services available,” said CIS CEO David Konur.

The patient satisfaction scores are based upon survey responses that are sent to patients at random by Press Ganey. Press Ganey is commonly used among health care facilities to survey patients on their interactions and overall experiences at these facilities.  Press Ganey works with more than 10,000 health care organizations, including nearly 40% of U.S. hospitals to measure and improve their quality of care.  To learn more about Press Ganey, please visit www.pressganey.com
