Press Release
Movie Star Angelina Jolie and NBA phenom Jeremy Lin appearing in Central?  No, it will not happen, despite what appears on a billboard on Greenwell Springs Rd.
THE CENTRAL STORY Nightly Radio Show will debut on Monday, April 2.  A Jon Fine Production, the program will air on WPFC Radio, 1550AM, Baton Rouge, on Central Now APP, and can be heard on the web at JonFineProductions.com.  THE CENTRAL STORY will be heard Monday—Friday, 5:30pm—6:30pm.    Central Speaks will have its own weekly program, THE CENTRAL SPEAKS RADIO HOUR, hosted by Central Speaks Publisher Dave Freneaux, every Wednesday night, 5:30pm—6:30pm.
The marquis in question appears on Greenwell Springs Road on the way in to Central.  Both sides of the sign promote THE CENTRAL STORY.  The sign features the hosts of the shows that comprise THE CENTRAL STORY:  Sid Edwards, Ron Erickson, Dave Freneaux, Steve Johnson, Kandi Jones and Matt Price.  The marquis also includes the names of Jolie and Lin.
THE CENTRAL STORY Producer Jon Fine explained his technique, “Simply, we were looking to attract attention, which the sign has done.  Everyone I’ve talked to or the hosts have talked to understand that it is a spoof.”  Fine hopes to use the marquis in the future.  “We hope to put up light-hearted information about the program and change the sign quite frequently.  Hopefully, people will get in the habit of checking out the sign and get a chuckle out of it.”
THE CENTRAL STORY shirts will be on sale at Cooking  In Central at THE CENTRAL STORY table inside the tent.  There will be 100 shirts for sale at $10 a shirt, with all proceeds supporting Cooking In Central.  Fine said, ”We hope to raise $1,000 for this extraordinarily worthwhile cause.”
