The doctor diagnosed him with cancer after going to the emergency room with back pain.  The tumor had broken his vertebrate and he had emergency back surgery, where they put in a steel cage, posts and pins. After the bone marrow biopsy was performed they found malignant tumors in his bone marrow. He has completed radiation and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. After chemo is completed he will be having a stem cell transplant. He is no longer able to work. His family and friends are having a jambalaya benefit dinner at the Wal-Mart in Central on Saturday, May 5 from 10:30 AM-2:00 PM.
