Brock Kaufman, a Central Middle School 7th grade student, recently was cast as Joey Becker in “The Christmas Angel”. The “Christmas Angel” is a faith-based movie. Brock had the wonderful opportunity to film with many other stars in this movie such as – Della Reese (Touched by an Angel), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) and Tamera Mowry-Housley (Sister, Sister.) The movie was directed by Brian Herzlinger and produced by Lisa Arnold.
Many of the scenes were filmed in downtown Hammond in July. The movie is a sweet, family-friendly, faith-based movie about an old house and the lady that lives there, while everyone refers to it as the dilapidated eyesore, some of the kids refer to it as the “wishing house”. They throw a rock and make a wish. An older lady who overhears the selfless wishes of the children, vowing to fulfill as many as possible sets out on a journey. It gets pretty interesting! Brock played the principal role of Joey Becker the school Bully. For more information on the movie visit IMDB  “The Christmas Angel” and follow the movie on the watch list.  The movie will be out in November just in time for the holiday on Hallmark or Lifetime.
Brock is the son of Mike and Tina Kaufman and he enjoys playing football for the Central Wildcat A team, playing basketball for the Central Slammers, training with Debby Gaudet Louisiana Young Screen Actors since he was eight years old. Brock’s agent is New Orleans Model & Talent. Brock is an honors student in the Gifted & Talented program.
