CAPA Corner: The Stand

By  |

On behalf of the Central Area Pastors Association, CAPA, I would like to express a big heartfelt thank you to all that came out and supported our students and schools at “The Stand” student prayer rally this past Sunday night.  It was so impressive to see an event totally led by the youth of our community.  Imagine, young people coming together at the beginning of a school year to pray for one another and to pray for their teachers, administrators and fellow students!  The prayers of our students were so sincere and I know that they touched the heart of God.  What awesome worship was offered up to God that night by a composite worship team of young people representing eight different churches in our community!  Standing shoulder to shoulder with our youth dedicating this new school year to the Lord was so encouraging.
Malachi 4:6 tells us that in the last days, “He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents.”  I am one proud parent with a huge heart, turned by God, towards our children.  Watching them lead us in prayer for our schools this past Sunday night filled my heart with great hope for our future!  I pray God will use our children and our community as an example of what He can and will do through a people that will “humble themselves and pray.”  What a great place to live and raise our children.  Acts 17:26-27, “From one man he made every nation of men that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.”
