Louisiana’s musicians and political legends will be celebrated at the “Louisiana Beat!” Reception at Governor’s Mansion on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 hosted by The Louisiana Institute of Public Policy & Politics and The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame. The two groups are collaborating on the first in a series of membership receptions with lively political discourse and the music for which our state has become famous.
Advanced tickets are required for the duo’s first "mixer." The event will be held at the Governor's Mansion, from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Local chef specialties with creole and spicy hors d’oeuvres, a variety of libations and live music from well-known and future legends will be provided for entertainment of members and guests.
The Louisiana Institute of Public Policy & Politics was formed as an educational tool for civically interested citizens. Their mission: to serve as an opportunity for individuals to learn more about the art and science of Louisiana politics and public policy in an intimate and hands on environment; a "real life" take on the political process and not a purely academic exercise, but a practical guide to running political campaigns and governing.
La Musique de Louisianne Inc. came to life with a mission of creating a viable music industry in the State of Louisiana; an industry for the artists and musicians of Louisiana to keep our talent, works and manpower in Louisiana. Step one was to create an educational process on who our artists are, what they have accomplished and how their incredible and historic contributions have come to pass. This is becoming a reality with The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame!
The two organizations have more in common than one may think.  For those who enjoy great live music, the fast-paced “beat” of politics and watching the players in the ongoing game of “musical chairs”, join us to celebrate two great Louisiana pastimes:  Politics and Music!
Limited reserved tickets available no later than Monday, August 26, 2013 by RSVP (to [email protected] or [email protected]).  Reservations for advance tickets include LIPPP Annual Membership, "Friends Of The LMHOF" membership and registration "goodies" for $100.
