Active for Autism T-Shirt Sign Up Deadline Extended

By  |

Active for Autism is an annual 5K and fundraiser put on each year by Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge (FHFGBR).  Active for Autism helps to raise community awareness and acceptance of autism, and money raised through this event goes to help families affected by autism.  The event is held at State Police Headquarters on Independence Boulevard beginning at 8 a.m. on April 18.  You can form your own team in honor of a loved one, or you can join Central’s Active for Autism team.  You can register up to the day of the 5K, but if you register by March 27 (extended deadline), you will get a free t-shirt with registration.  Visit www.fhfgbr.org to register.  You will have the option to create a team, or you can join the Central team (open to all community members) by choosing “join a team” and selecting Central City Cares as your team.
