The caller said that the store manager, Diandre Watford, followed her outside, retrieved a gun from his car and pointed it at the car she was in. She was in a group of two females and one male. They drove to a neighboring business and called the police. EBRSO met them at the neighboring business and contacted Watford, who admitted his actions stating that he thought the group may have stolen something from the store, he wasn’t thinking at the time, and was not authorized by Dollar General to carry a gun at work. Video surveillance confirmed the parking lot exchange. While speaking to deputies, it was discovered that Watford had attempted to hide the weapon in his shirt. He does not possess a concealed weapons permit in the state of Louisiana. Watford was booked into Parish Prison on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Illegal Carrying of Weapons.
