Stuff the Bus for CCAF

By  |

SchoolBusB        The Central Community Assistance Foundation (CCAF) helps students in need living in the Central Community School District.  This includes public, private, and home schooled students.  One of the big ways that CCAF helps each year is through the community school supply drive.  You can help CCAF provide school supplies and uniforms to these local students who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
From Friday through Tuesday of next week, July 24-28, bring school supplies and/or gently used uniforms to the bus at the CCSS School Board Office on Joor or to the collection barrels at any of these local businesses: Ross Tire and Service on Greenwell Springs, EBR Sheriff’s Central Substation on Gurney, Bank of Zachary on Hooper, Red River Bank on Wax, People’s Bank on Wax, and Raising Cane’s at the corner of Wax and Sullivan.  The most needed school supplies include any of the following used by CCSS Schools: pencils, binders, glue, marble composition notebooks, folders, loose leaf paper, book sacks, colored pencils, and ink pens.  New or gently used school uniforms are also appreciated.
Central Community Assistance Foundation (CCAF) distributes school supplies to students who qualify for assistance.  Applications for assistance can be picked up at Central Library on Joor and Central Community School System’s Central Office on Joor Road.
