Approval of TND with 250 Apartments Comes under Scrutiny

By  |

Last week’s approval of the Settlement on Shoe Creek was done despite strong public sentiment against the 250 apartments to be constructed in the development.  Now evidence has surfaced that calls into question the legality of the large number of apartments as well as the process employed by city officials to get the project approved.
The staff of Central Speaks is committed to providing our readers with complete and accurate information concerning this TND approval.  On pages 3 through 6 of this week's Central Speaks newspaper is the information collected thus far, including actual copies of the source documents referenced.
In addition, Central Speaks has requested clarification and information on these issues from Mayor Shelton.  Shelton declined to comment on the specific issues that are being raised, stating only that, “we have and always will do the right and lawful thing in ANY matter.”
