Rep. Hodges receives National Security Eagle Award

    State Representative Valarie Hodges, R-Denham Springs, has been selected as a National Security Eagle Award recipient by ACT for America, and will be presented with the award at their sixth annual National Conference and Legislative Briefing Tuesday, September 8, in Washington D.C.  ACT for America is the nation’s largest national security-focused grassroots advocacy organization, with 910 national chapters, comprised of over 300,000 active members.  Rep. Hodges was nominated for this award for her work to honor the nation’s Constitution and the protections it affords.  Recipients are those who strive to work at the local, state, and federal level to assure the safety of our nation.
    Rep. Hodges said, “It is an honor to be a National Security Eagle Award recipient, and to have my work, as a state legislator who upholds high levels of safety for our country, be recognized on a national level.”
    The sixth annual National Conference of ACT for America will be held September 8-11, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington D.C., with the award ceremony taking place during the Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, September 8.
