More blue is popping up around Central each day thanks to an effort to show support for our law enforcement officers and first responders.  Blue bows adorn the city signs, community mailboxes, and doors, and blue lights appear on porches.  Central residents want to thank and support those who have promised to protect us, especially with all of the threats and violence occurring against these people around the country.  Those who began this effort on social media are asking that everyone pray for these men and women, and blue bows and lights are an outward sign of this support.  Many people are making their own bows, and bows are also available at the florist.  Marino’s is donating 10% of their bow sales to the Louisiana Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.  A prayer service was held at Central City Hall this past Monday for those who serve and protect us.  Remember to thank these people, and keep them and their safety in your thoughts and prayers.
