Central Bowling Continues Strong Start

ROLL THROUGH DENHAM SPRINGS

On Monday (2-1-16) at All Star Lanes fresh off both team claiming 1st Place in the Louisiana High School Invitational, the Girls (3-0) had an outstanding day on the lanes with their victory over Denham Springs (2-2). The Wildcats won 26.5-.5 and 3077-1993, with games of 1015, 1085 and 977. The 1085 and 3077 were the 2nd highest game and series in school history (at the time)!!! Senior/Captain Sarah LeDuff led the attack with an awesome 608 (218, 211), followed by Junior Brianna McCurley's 569 (229, 193), Junior Brittnee Robinson's 553 (214, 188) and Freshman Alanna Coward's 487.

The Boys (4-0) also beat Denham Springs (2-2) by a final score of 23-4 and 3204-2610. The Wildcats rolled games of 1124, 1045 and 1035. Junior Parker Aucoin led the team with a 595 (219, 208), with Junior Dylan Ringo rolling a 566 (206, 182), Junior Bryce Delaune with a 542 (190) and Senior/Captain Johnathan Ryder's 537 (226).

 

GIRLS BEAT ST JOSEPH’S AND BOYS BEAT EAST ASCENSION

Continuing the great bowling for the week, the Girls (4-0) upped their total from Monday with games of 1016, 1126 and 960 for an outstanding 3102 series!!!  On Wednesday (2-3-16) at All Star Lanes, the Wildcats beat St Joseph's (1-2) 27-0 and 3102-2097. The 1126 game and 3102 series are now the 2nd highest game and series ever bowled by a Wildcat team!!!  B Robinson upped her personal best from Monday and led the team with a great 588 series (181, 215, 192).  McCurley followed with a 553 (224), Freshman Jessie Smith was next with a 550 (192, 189) and Coward rolled a 522 (182).

The Boys (5-0) remained undefeated after a tremendous day on the lanes and defeated East Ascension (0-4) 24.5-2.5 and 3485-2852. The Wildcats put together three solid games of 1139, 1185 and 1161. The 3485 is the 3rd highest series in school history!!!  Leading the way once again was Aucoin's outstanding 762 (246, 248, 268), the 2nd highest individual series ever bowled by a Wildcat!  Ringo was next with a 582 (214), followed by Ryder's 564 (197, 191).  Junior Parker Wales had a nice 2-game series with a 376 (191, 185).

Way to go Wildcats!!!!!  We're off this next week for Mardi Gras and both teams will be back in action 2-15-16 (Monday) at Premier Lanes (3:15pm).  The Girls take on St Amant (1-4) and the Boys bowl Dutchtown (4-1).  We'll see you then!
