The Istrouma Area Council, Boy Scouts of America will host its 18th Annual Sporting Clay Classic, on August 5, 2016.  The event will begin on Thursday, August 4th with the Community Leadership Development Dinner honoring Dr. Thomas Flynn at Drusilla Seafood. Dr. Thomas Flynn has served our community for more than three decades, and it is a privilege to recognize him at this event. It is an evening of great food, fun, with silent and live auctions with a variety of different item including a Henry Rifle limited edition Philmont rifle. The Clay Shoot will begin on August 5th at the Avondale Scout Reservation in Clinton, La. Starting time is 7am.

All proceeds from the event will benefit youth development in the Istrouma Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.  The event is open to the public.  For more information, please contact: Enid Braxton, with the Istrouma Area Council, Boy Scouts of America at (225-926-2697). Istrouma Area Council:  The Boy Scouts of America incorporated in 1910 and was chartered by Congress in 1916.
