The Counseling Corner of Blackwater United Methodist Church is beginning a Grandparent Support Group.  The support group will be led by Loretta Foreman and will be available to all grandparents in our city.  Mrs. Foreman started the Counseling Corner at Blackwater 21 years ago, and she instructs in the specialized area of behavior.
Mrs. Foreman will take you as you are, and where you are, in your role as a grandparent.  She will teach you how to make changes in behavior patterns that will make a difference in coping with your individual situation.
The Grandparent Support Group at Blackwater UMC will begin this Monday, July 18.  The group will meet every Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room of the adult education building.  There is no charge for any service offered through the Counseling Corner.  However, any donations made to the Counseling Corner will go directly to the Counseling Corner Children’s Education Fund at Blackwater UMC.
If you want to learn ways to help yourself as a grandparent by making positive changes that will, in turn, help your grandchildren, call the Blackwater church office at 261-4646.  Pre-register by leaving your name and phone number.  You can also leave a voicemail with that information at the church office.
