Shelby Obituary b    Charity Bersuder and Brandon Dinger's hearts are filled with sorrow, as they announce the passing of their beloved daughter, Shelby Lynn Bersuder on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 19.
A memorial service in her honor was held at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, January 21, 2017, led by Shelby's long time pastor and family friend, Pastor Jay Coleman of Journey Church.
Shelby was an accomplished musician in the Central High School Band. She was a percussionist in the Marching Band and a pianist in the Jazz Band. She was a guitar player, a singer, a poet, a writer, a dancer, and an artist. She was well known in the Central High School JROTC program, rising quickly through the ranks during her years involved. She graduated as Cadet Sgt Major and Color Guard Commander. She was a student at Virginia College, studying Networking Technology, with plans to re-enlist in the United States Army upon graduation.
She was a natural leader, with an inborn sense of responsibility to others. She had a ready smile for every person she met and an overwhelming sense of compassion. She was always the first to step up and introduce herself. She made everyone around her feel as if they were the most important person in the world to her. Her hugs were given freely to anyone who needed one. She had no “friends”; they were all her family, and she loved them as such.
Shelby will be dearly missed by her mother Charity Anne Ridley Bersuder and her step-father Brandon Dinger, Sr. of Central; siblings Brandon Paul Bersuder, Damian Bersuder, Brock Jones, Brandon Dinger, Jr. and Hannah Dinger, all of Central, Louisiana. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her maternal grandmother Katherine Korndorffer; paternal grandparents Barbara Dinger and Bertrand Dinger Sr, of Central; great grandfather Jerome Randa and wife Helene, of Baton Rouge; uncle and aunt Hans & Amy Anderson of Central, and uncles Steven Hirstius of Metairie, Bobby Dinger of Central, and Bert Dinger Jr of Detroit. Her many cousins include Kameron Dinger, Rachel Dinger, Eric Dinger, Josie Dinger, & Hermione Dinger of Central; Kurt Colburn, Audrey Anderson and James Anderson of Central, Louisiana.
“She will always be young. She will always be beautiful. And I personally feel much safer knowing she's up there on my side.” – Steel Magnolias
