Our Lady of the Lake Breaks Ground on New Emergency Room

On Tuesday, January 31, Our Lady of the Lake held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on an emergency room in north Baton Rouge that will close a gap in emergency healthcare services and bring lifesaving treatment closer to residents in north Baton Rouge. Among those scheduled to attend were Scott Wester, President and CEO, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center; Governor John Bel Edwards, State of Louisiana; Michelle Alletto, Deputy Secretary, Louisiana Department of Health; Mayor-President Sharon Weston-Broome, East Baton Rouge Parish; Dr. Shammi Kataria, Emergency Medicine Specialist, Our Lady of the Lake; Sen. Regina Barrow, Louisiana State Senate; and Rep. Edmond Jordan, Louisiana House of Representatives. The groundbreaking was held at LSU Health Baton Rouge North Clinic, 5439 Airline Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA, 70805.
