Blood Drive Saturday for Easton Roy

    There is an URGENT request to donate and make a replacement blood donation on behalf of two-week-old Easton Roy of Central.  Easton is the son of Josh and Chelsey Roy.
    All blood types are needed, particularly A- and O-.  Easton has already needed six transfusions.  The blood transfusions he is needing can be no more than five days old.
    There will be a blood drive for Easton this Saturday, February 25 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Come to the Bloodmobile at Central Walmart (1020 Sullivan Road).  The goal is to get 100 people to sign up for the blood drive.

    Easton is battling persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN), whih is the failure of the normal circulatory transition that occurs after birth.
    A photo ID is required to donate.  Eat a meal and drink plenty of fluid before donating.  Visit www.thebloodcenter.org for eligibility rules.
