Central to Meet #1 West Monroe in Playoffs

By  |
The Central Wildcats survived a tough schedule and an injury-plagued first half of the season to emerge at 4-6 as the 32nd seed in the state football playoffs, traveling to face top-seeded West Monroe Friday at 7PM. The game will be video streamed live on the Central First Facebook Page and is sponsored by Central Stat Care, Essential Federal Credit Union, and Lane Regional Medical Center.
Central makes the trip as the underdog, a role that Sid Edwards’ Wildcat teams have played well in years past. In 2011 the #32 Wildcats upset #1 St. Paul’s, and in 2013 Central travelled to #6 seeded West Monroe, returning home with a 14-0 shutout victory. A win this week would earn the Wildcats a home game against Slidell or a trip south to face Dutchtown.
