This week, the Central Kiwanis donated two AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) to Central High School.  These devices are used when someone suffers a heart attack or similar heart condition.  Kiwanis is a service organization that has contributed to many great causes and programs in Central.  Members of Kiwanis are pictured above with Principal Wales and members of the CHS Key Club, a service club that is part of the Kiwanis family.

Support CHS Students in the Komen Race for the Cure

This year we have a team named "Central High School Wildcats!" for the Komen Race for the Cure because we want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer. We want everyone in Central and outside of Central to sign up.  Whether you go to CHS, CMS, CIS, Tanglewood, Bellingrath, live anywhere near or far,  or just want to help us out, sign up!  We would love to have you on the team!
The race is March 10th at LSU.  Let's show everyone how supportive the City of Central is and sign up to be on the team.  Can't be there?  You can still sign up for the team as a "sleep-in" and support the team.  Also this year kids age 12 and under have a lower registration and a special shirt that will be sent to them.  All team shirts are mailed to the address you sign up with.
Please visit this website for more info: http://batonrouge.info-komen.org/site/TR/RacefortheCure/BTR_BatonRougeAffiliate/391100858?pg=team&fr_id=2505&team_id=199510
