Lopez, Simpson Exchange Vows at St. Agnes Catholic Church

 

Candace Claire Lopez of Central and Trenton Neil Simpson of Port Allen were united in marriage on July 8, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Very Reverend Monsignor Robert Berggreen presided at the 7:30 p.m. ceremony.
 
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Richard Lopez, of Central, and the late Pete Joseph Lopez, Jr. She is the granddaughter of Howard and Irene Broussard Richard of Loreauville, Louisiana and Mrs. Rosa Bayard Lopez of New Iberia, Louisiana, and the late Pete J. Lopez, Sr.
 
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Greg Simpson of Port Allen and Ms. Bonny Doucet Simpson of Baton Rouge.  He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Gosserand of Port Allen and the late Jeff Simpson, and  Mr. and Mrs. John Doucet of Port Allen. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Spragio, Jr. of Addis and great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Spragio, Sr. of Addis.
 
Candace was escorted by her brothers Craig and Casey Lopez. She was given in marriage by her mother, Mary Lopez. She was attended by Amber Olivier, matron of honor, Megan Mooney, maid of honor,   bridesmaids were Brea Browning Lopez, Lori Hebert, Brett Brown, Jessica Holman, Amanda Mercil, Sarah Simpson, Lacey Franz, Misty Borne. Minature bride was Stokely Sparks and flower girls were Addison and Avery Olivier.
 
Trenton was attended by James Wesley Major, best man, and groomsmen Cory Coye, Jarrod Seguin, Chad Doucet, Matthew Coye, Nicholas Pommier, Beau Cucullu, Jase Jackson, Johnny Franz, and Nicholas Humble. Minature  groom was Landon Simpson and Chance Simpson was the ringbearer.  Ushers were Michel Lastrapes and Johnny Doucet.
 
Gwen Horton, Jill Spragio and Gayle Simpson participated in the ceremony as readers.  The reception took place at the Addis Community Center in Addis, Louisiana.  Following a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple will reside in Port Allen with their daughter, Adaline Bonnette Simpson.

Megan Rayburn and James Crisler to Wed in May

 

Megan M. Rayburn of Central, and James M. Crisler of Denham Springs will marry in a May ceremony in Baton Rouge. 
 
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Rayburn of Baton Rouge, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Cason of Central. She is the granddaughter of Paul and Dianne Fourroux of Central, Ruby Rayburn of Zachary, and the late Burtis Rayburn. The bride to be is a graduate of Central High School and Our Lady of the Lake College. She is a PTA at Moreau Physical Therapy. 
 
Her fiance is the son of James H. Crisler and Paula Simon Harper both of Denham Springs. He is the grandson Alice C. Simon, the late Gerard J. Simon, the late Harold E. Crisler, and the late Barbara Vay Crisler. He is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and Baton Rouge Community College. He is a Police Officer.

Elizabeth Dispenza Marries Chad Stevens

 

Elizabeth Christine Dispenza of Baton Rouge and Chad Lee Stevens of Central were married in a 7 p.m. ceremony on the 4th of November at Elegant Memories on Frenchtown Road in Greenwell Springs.

The bride is the daughter of John and Patsy Dispenza of Baton Rouge and Toni Tashiro of Baltimore, Maryland.  The bridegroom is the son of Babs Stevens and the late Arthur Lee “Butch” Stevens of Central.

 

The bride’s attendants were her sisters, Katharyn Pearson Dispenza and Alexandra Tashiro Pearson.  Her niece, Isabella Grace Haselden, was Miniature Bride.
 
Groomsmen were Robin Alonzo and Darren Babin.  The Ring Bearer was the Bride’s Brother, Jorgen Tashiro Kendrick and the groom’s son, Colton Tyler Stevens, was Miniature Groom.  A reception followed.

Kristin Grimball and Greg Gautreau to Marry April 21 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church

 

    Kristin Grimball of Central and Greg Gautreau of Baton Rouge will marry in a 1:00 p.m. ceremony Saturday April 21, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
    The bride-elect is the daughter of Willard and Terry Grimball of Central. She is the granddaughter of Myra Calhoun of Central and John and Kay Calhoun of Galvez, La.
    Kristin is a graduate of Central High School and attended LSU. She is employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist with Your “Other” Warehouse.
    Her fiance is the son of Willie and Angela Gautreau of Baton Rouge, La. He is the grandson of the late Willie and Clelia Gautreau of Gonzales, La and of the late Joseph and Francis Belina of Baton Rouge, La.
    Greg is a graduate of Redemptorist High School and Southeastern La. University.  He is employed as a Mortgage Underwriter with GMFS.

Ronald and Heather Erickson Welcome Son Brock Louis

    Ronald, Heather, and big sister Bryleigh welcomed home their tiny blessing, Brock Louis Erickson.  He was born at 8:09 am on January 16, 2012 at Woman's Hospital.  Brock weighed 7lbs 10.5oz and was 19.5 inches long.
    Proud Grandparents are Ron and Carolyn Erickson of Central and Bill
and Brenda Dooley of Baton Rouge.

Cheree’ Rembert and Clinton Case to Wed in Jackson, MS

 Mr. and Mrs. Troy Joseph Rembert, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheree' Nicole Rembert, to Clinton Day Case, son of Mr. Thomas Ray Case and Ms. Kathy Day Case of Brandon, Mississippi.  The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert D. Soileau, of Baton Rouge, LA, and Linda Chenier Rembert, of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Dolores Day Strait and the late Ralph Hall Day, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Versie Case, of Brookhaven, Mississippi. 
Miss Rembert was a graduate of Redemptorist High School in 2002. She attended The University of Southern Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. In 2006, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Education. She is an auditory-oral teacher at Magnolia Speech School. She is pursuing a master’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Early Oral Education.
 
Case was a graduate of Madison Central High School in 2002. He attended Holmes Community College and The University of Southern Mississippi, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega. In 2007, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration. He is the General Manager at Mugshots Grill and Bar in Flowood. 
 
The couple will exchange vows April 28, 2012 at 7pm at St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson, with a reception at The South.

Garrett and Miranda Unbehagen Welcome Son Kaden Tyler

Garrett and Miranda Unbehagen are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Kaden Tyler.  Kaden was born January 11, 2012 at 7:18 p.m. in Baton Rouge, La. He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 21 inches long.  

Proud grandparents are Dennis and Nealy Morain of Baton Rouge, Mike Unbehagen of Bayou Pigeon, LA and Debora Unbehagen of Woodbridge, VA.

Melanie Gardner and Ron West to Exchange Vows February 19

 

 

Melanie Gardner and Ron West, both of Central, will exchange vows on Sunday February 19, 2012 at Disney's Wedding Pavillion in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Freddie and Virginia Gardner of Central. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carrie Lichtenberg of Baton Rouge, the late Henry Lichtenberg, the late Paul Gardner and the late Florence Gardner.  Melanie is a 1999 graduate of Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Louisiana Tech University.

The bridegroom is the son of Rodney and Robbie West of Mandeville, LA and Pattie Asterita of Slidell, LA. He is the grandson of the late Mario and Patricia Arthur, and the late Earl and Bernice West of Mandeville, LA. Ron is a 1993 graduate of Mandeville High School.
 
The couple will celebrate their marriage on March 17, 2012 at Elegant Memories.

Amber Usry and Chris Rome to Marry March 10

 Amber Usry of Baton Rouge, and Chris Rome of Denham Springs, will marry on March 10. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mark and Wendy Usry, of Pueblo West, Colorado, and Tami Bartlett, of Zachary. She is the granddaughter of Curtis and Margaret Usry, of St. Francisville, and the late Bob and Sue Rebouche. She is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and LSU. Her fiance' is the son of Margaret Rome, of Greenwell Springs, and the late Roger Rome III. He is the grandson of the late Dorothy Kaiser, and the late Roger Rome Jr. and the late Howard and Grace Russell. He is a graduate of Central High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a firefighter with the Baton Rouge Fire Department.

Timothy and Tracey Jenkins Welcome Daughter Cheyenne May

Timothy and Tracey Jenkins are proud to announce the birth of their baby girl, Cheyenne May. She was welcomed home by big sis, Mckenzie.  Cheyenne was born July 14, 2011 at 12:27 p.m. in Covington, La. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 18.75 inches long.  Proud grandparents are Walter and Vickie Jenkins of Central, Stephen and Trudie Herbert of Covington, Glenn and Kathy Scott of Waveland, Miss. and Great-grandmother Nancy Brown of Central.
