Lucille Matherne Guillory
Lucille Anne Matherne Guillory, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge. Lucille was born August 6, 1920, in St. James, Louisiana. She was a long-time resident of Central and member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Residing at Lake Sherwood Retirement Center for the last few years, Lucille enjoyed playing bingo and being a member of the bell choir. She was known for her sense of humor and her graciousness. Lucille was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters—Paula Smith and husband, Coy; Denice Thomas and husband, Greg; and Patrice Guillory. Grandchildren include Eric Smith and wife, Sara, and their children, Aubrey and Grant; Blake Bottger and wife, Kelli, and their expected child; Lindsay Bottger, Elizabeth Thomas, Catherine Thomas, and Victoria Thomas. Visitation took place on Friday and Saturday at Greenoaks Funeral Home, with burial afterwards in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Guillory; her parents, Anna Vicknair and Arneaux Matherne; and five brothers.

Miranda Rachelle Morain and Garrett Michael Unbehagen of Baton Rouge will marry in a 1 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 7,2011, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dennis and Nealy Morain of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of Pearl M. Ross of Denham Spring and The late Alvin Emmett Ross and Jane and Huey Kinchen of Baton Rouge and The late Jesse Morain. Miranda is a Central High and Louisiana State University graduate.
Her fiancé is the son of Michael Unbehagen of Plaquemine, LA and Debora Unbehagen of Woodbridge, VA. He is the grandson of Joe and Norma Garrett of Denham Springs and Myra Unbehagen of Baton Rouge and the Late Martin “Buddy” Unbehagen. Garrett is a graduate of Live Oak High and ITI Technical School.

On October 17, 2010, the children of T.R. and Hazel Dupuy gathered in Slidell, Louisiana at the home of Jom and Beverly Corkern. The eight brothers and sisters with their respective spouses were together for the first time since 1992. All eight brothers and sisters and two of the wives, June and Carla, are Central school graduates.

Yvonne Conrad and Bill Wicker, both of Central, eloped and were married at 3 p.m. Sunday October 31, 2010.
The ceremony was preformed at Bellezza Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Bride is the daughter of Mavis DeLee Sharp and the late William Clyde Sharp of Baton Rouge.
The Groom is the son of Marion Claire Greely Wicker and the late Billy Wicker of Zachary.
The couple was welcomed home by their 5 children, Rebecca Conrad, Mallorie, Lance, Alex & Julia Wicker. The couple will reside in Central.

Sarah Kathryn Onstead, of Central, and Daniel Joseph Guagliardo, of Hammond, are happy to announce, they will marry in a 6:00 p. m. ceremony, on Friday, December 17, 2010, at Zoar Baptist Church, in Central.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Lynn and Kathryn June Duke Onstead, of Central.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marilyn June McCall Duke, of Central and the late Mr. Boyd Ray Duke and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Hunt Onstead, of Central and the late Mr. Floyd Paul Onstead.
The bride-elect is a homeschool graduate, attended Baton Rouge Community College, and attends Southeastern Louisiana University.
Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl and Virginia Catherine Mannino Guagliardo, of Tickfaw.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank, Jr. and Fay Tycer Guagliardo, of Hammond and the late Mrs. Margaret Notariano Guagliardo and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Joseph and Olivia DiGiovanni Mannino.
Daniel is a graduate of Hammond High School and attends New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a machine operator at Graham Packaging.

Megan Kathleen Blount, formerly of Walker, and Adam Ford Barner, formerly of Central were married in Clackamas County, Oregon by Judge Brisban on Friday, October 22, 2010.
Megan is the daughter of Curtis and Debbie Blount of Walker. She is the granddaughter of Boyd and Lois Blount, and the late James and Maryjane Schwartz. Megan is a graduate of Walker High School and Aveda Institute.
Adam is the son of Rodney Barner of Slaughter, and Sheila and Marion Trahan of Central. He is the grandson of the late Florence and Dolly Barner, and the late Arnold and Patsy Ford of Baton Rouge. Adam is a graduate of Starkey Academy and attended Baton Rouge Community College.
The couple are presently residing in Oregon City, Oregon.

Daniel and Sarah (Carrier) Couvillion are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Olivia Katherine.
Olivia was born August 27, 2010 at 3:32 a.m. at Woman’s Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces and was 20 ¼ inches long.
Proud grandparents are Jeff and Kellye Couvillion, Dean and Jeanette Carrier all of Central. Great grandparents are Warren and Hannah Couvillion, Eugene and Merelle McGehee, Elton Carrier, Newton and Lucille Ducote, all of Central.

Jeanne’ Gremillion of Central and Walter Gravois, Jr. of Prairieville will marry at 6:30 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Ingleside Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Duane and Robin Gremillion of Central. She is the granddaughter of Camellia Falcon of Baton Rouge and the late Roland Falcon, and Esnard and Peggy Gremillion of Denham Springs, and the late Angela Gremillion. She is a graduate of Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana State University, and the LSU Graduate School. She currently teaches Spanish at Central Middle School.
Her fiancé is the son of Walter Gravois, Sr. of Port Allen and Miriam Guarisco of Port Allen. He is the grandson of Lawrence and Shirley Gravois of Port Allen, and the late Wynona and Dominick Guercio. He is a graduate of Central High School and the College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas. He is the owner of Gravco, LLC.
The couple was honored at an engagement party on September 11, 2010, at the home of Patrick and Jaime Hall. It was hosted by Aimee Poole, Jaime Hall, Laurie Dantin, Lisa Gremillion, Michelle Cornett, Courtney Chiodin, Sadie Zimmer, and Jessica Rosario.

Barrett and Stephanie (Stockwell) Hunter of Central are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Samantha Rose. Samantha was born on Wednesday, July 28,2010 at 2:08 pm. She weighed 6lbs 13 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.
She was welcomed home by her big sisters and brother, Rachel, Annison and Nathan. Proud grandparents are Dun and Sandy Stockwell and Robert and Loretta Hunter all from Central.
