I would like to point out that the real issue here is that Central only keeps 10% of the fees charged by CH2MHill. I find it interesting that another company, Safebuilt, (that I didn’t know anything about until it became an issue in this election) gets the majority of the money the citizens of Central pay. Doesn’t that raise red flags for anyone? Why can’t we contract with Safebuilt directly, cut out the middle man, and keep more money in Central? If Safebuilt is providing the majority of the services, wouldn’t Central be better served dealing with them directly? What exactly does CH2MHill provide that we need to get from them? I think the citizens of Central deserve a breakdown explaining what CH2MHill does and what Safebuilt does for our city. Then, we as a community can make an informed decision about what is best for us.

Mr. Higgs – I would like to take this opportunity and commend you and your personnel on what I believe is a job well done. Obviously you have been ridiculed and tested over the years but found ways to continue to provide the highest level of support.

I’m not sure what the outcome of this election will bring, but can only pray that we will continue to receive the highest level of service that you and your staff have provided the great citizens of Central.

If I could make a suggestion? I would love to see you are members of your staff start attending the local area meetings such as the Central Community Alliance, Homeowner Association Meetings, etc. I think this could be very beneficial to the citizens’ of our city.

Again thank you for your tireless efforts in ensuring that our city becomes the best in the state. With your efforts along with our current Administration and Council we are definitely heading in the right direction.

Thank you, Jeanie. I wish more citizens would take the time to get involved like you do and understand this great process. I appreciate all you do for your subdivision and keeping people informed as to the truth of matters. I don’t think anyone will find any city that is run with more accountability than Central.
