The Central High boys basketball team took on the Scotlandville Hornets at home last Friday night. Scotlandville stood at #1 both in the district and in 5A overall, and the Hornets had a big win over the Wildcats the first time they faced off. This did not seem to phase Central, however, as the Wildcats came out on top with a 60-59 victory. The win breaks the Hornets’ lengthy winning streak and puts Central in a tie for #1 in the district, with both Scotlandville and Central now at 6-1 in district play. Central’s overall record now stands at 18-4.
