The football team will be at the Burger King on Saturday, July 26 at 8:30am ready to wash your cars. The proceeds for this will go towards football camp that is coming up shortly. You can contact Henry Goudeau at 202-6127 for more information. Come out and support those Wildcats!

Coach John Kennedy, who has been named the new middle school football coach, has scheduled an informative football meeting for all those students planning to play football at Central Middle. The meeting is on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 6:00 pm in the middle school cafeteria. Orders can also be placed for “Spirit Packs”. Each pack includes two t-shirts, a pair of shorts, and a mouthpiece. These spirit packs will be $40.

On Saturday, July 26 from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., the Football Mothers’ Club will be having a garage sale at Central High School. The proceeds will help with some of the needs of the football team throughout this year. They are welcoming all donations. The Cental High Football Team are selling ads for the 2008-2009 program that will be available at EVERY home game this football season.

These ads are open to area businesses as a professional yet inexpensive way to promote your services or product.

Ads are also open to all Seniors, as well as Underclassmen from football, band, silks, ROTC, kittens and cheerleading.

Central Private’s football schedule is out and Coach Longmire said, “We are very excited about this season. We have 16 seniors that have played for four years. This is a great group of kids that have worked hard. There is a great feeling around the school and we are looking to make it to the playoffs again. We have made it to the playoffs for the last two years and this group has won 15 games in that same time.” Go Rebels!

CHS football schedule is out! Coach Edwards said, “I would like to pass on a message to the community. With the upcoming season quickly approaching, I would like to see more community support. Although last year was great, I would like to surpass that and fill the stands. I want to make Wildcat Stadium a tough place for opponets to come in and compete.”
