Wildcats Close Out Regular Season at Live Oak

By  |

For Central, Friday night’s final regular season finale at Live Oak was not much different than most other district games this season.  The first half saw Central go up 42-0 with a final score of 56-0.  Central’s average margin of victory in disrict play has been 43 points.  However, Central begins a very different “second season” next Friday as the playoffs begin.  Central will join the rest of the top 32 teams in the state in a single elimination tournament which ends in the Championship game in the Superdome.  The Wildcats are not likely to see any more easy wins, so come out and support the team in Wildcat stadium next Friday as Central will be at home for the first playoff game.

Meanwhile, back at Live Oak, David Vest and James Richardson combined for 14.5 tackles, 9 assists and a tackle for loss as the Central defense shut out the Eagles.  Shedrick Davis and Wes Briscoe combined for 12 catches, 279 yards and 5 TD’s while Will Briscoe went 17 for 22 for 382 passing yards.  Statistics for the game and the season can be seen by following these links:  GAME STATS   SEASON STATS
