In Memoriam: Marian Simmons Kaiser

IMG_7725bA resident of Central, LA, near Baton Rouge, LA and a native of Natchez, she passed away peacefully at the age of 87, on March 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born in June, 1928 to Mollie Spencer Dorsey and Paul Reed Simmons, Sr. She attended Natchez High School, class of 1946. She was a homemaker until she was an optician for 15 years. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Central, LA and often attended First Baptist Church, Natchez, MS. She loved when her family was all together and going to the beach.

 

A loving and steadfast mother, she is survived by her children: Marian Louise Kaiser Sprouse, Clement “Clem” Joseph Kaiser and wife, Joyce, Lloyd Andrew “Jack” Kaiser III and wife, Calinda, Allene Clark Kaiser, and Lois Anne “L.A” Kaiser Alford and husband, Randy; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Andrew Kaiser, Jr., her parents, three brothers, Paul Reed Simmons, Jr., Allen Breinard Simmons, and William Duckett “Billy” Simmons,.

 

Funeral services provided by Laird Funeral Home, Natchez, MS. There will be a closed casket, private graveside service conducted by her cousin, Bryant Reed, Jr., for family members and relatives only on MondayMarch, 28, 2016 at Natchez City Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.

 

The family wishes to thank the many staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice for all of their help, care and prayers.
