Congratulations to CHS Color Guard

    The CHS Color Guard Team traveled to New Orleans for their Winter Guard competition on Saturday March 11th. The girls performed in the team, solo, and ensemble categories bringing home first place in all three. Sophomore Hannah Anselmo placed first in the Senior 15-16 division with a score of 283, Junior Ashleigh Klein was second runner-up with a score of 277 and Sophomore Brianna Huber placed third runner-up with a score of 276.  In the Senior  17-18 Ensemble division Juniors Alyssa Dixon & Hannah Deziel placed first with a score of 292.  The guard brought two teams to competition, Team A placed first with a superior rating and a score of 289. Team B also received a superior rating with a score of 274.  Team A received Best Choreography and Best in Class awards. The team would like to thank their Sponsor Amanda Navarre, Choreographer Madalynn Couvillon, Band Director James Henderson, and CHS staff & students for their continued support of the program. The girls will be performing on April 1; at Cooking in Central and on April 28th they will be competing in Panama City, Florida. The Team will be holding clinic on March 25th 9 – noon, April 8th  8am – 10:30 am, and May 1st 3pm – 5pm at CHS for grades 8th – 11th. If you would like to help support the girls as they raise money for their next competition, they are currently selling raffle tickets for a Cypress Swing give away. Best of Luck in Panama City!
