Hancock and Whitney Bank recently promoted Baton Rouge retail manager Stephen David to senior vice president (SVP) and regional retail manager for the bank’s western region, which includes Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Houston.
David joined the Hancock and Whitney Management Associate Program in 2005 shortly after completing his marketing degree at Louisiana State University in 2004. During the next decade, he quickly evolved as one of the bank’s most recognized and admired young leaders and advanced his career within the organization.
“I am so pleased that Stephen has received this promotion and concurrent title of SVP,” said Duayne Richard, Hancock and Whitney’s senior regional president. “He has earned the respect of veteran senior executives and peers alike by always tempering his decisions and actions with common sense, fundamental values, and commitment to the best interests of his clients and the community he serves. I know he will continue to flourish in his new role with the bank.”
David is a graduate of the prestigious Graduate School of Banking at LSU as well as the Mississippi Banking School. He is also an alumnus of the Leadership North Program in Zachary and serves as secretary/treasurer for the Louisiana Bankers Educational Council. Additionally, David is the immediate past chairman of the board for the City of Central Chamber of Commerce, having served as chairman for two years. He is also on the board of directors of Sales and Marketing Executives.
